Let's discuss- what are your main causes?

What are you really passionate about in terms of politics and policy? Mine are: education, healthcare, gun control and social services. You?

Re: Let's discuss- what are your main causes?

  • I want to answer this @lasposa425, but I just can't come up with much right now.  I know I am passionate about things! I just can't think of what they are.  :)
  • Mine are more "ideals" than causes:
    Fiscal Responsibility
    Limited Government
    Free Markets
Abide by the Constitution of the United States

  • The right to life for the unborn.

    Fiscal responsibility.

  • Immigration reform (especially since my father was immigrant until he married my mother back in the 70s). I voted for Obama thinking he'd do something for the Dreamers (those who went to college and have their degrees but can't work because of their status) and for all of the millions of undocumented people in the United States. In my opinion, they should be able to work legally, have drivers license and have the same rights as those born here. Why?  Because they're already here (the chances of them deporting all of them is never going to happen), they contribute greatly to economy, they already drive cars so it's best for them and other drivers that they have insurance in case of accidents and they want to work here, not do terrorist acts. Oh and most are married, have children and it's not right to separate families.

-Sane Science Policy (Global Warming is real, Vaccines are good, Evolution needs to be taught in schools) Experts need to be listened to.
-Equality: This includes gay marriage and women's rights.
-Education: This is a pretty broad topic with a lot of nuance.
-Scaling down the size and expense of the US military to be more in line with spending by the rest of the world.
-My son was born in April 2012. He pretty much rules. -This might be the one place on the internet where it's feasible someone would pretend to be an Adult Man.
