  • Whine:  Spotting has started and I had a huge temp drop this morning.  *sigh*  Let's just get on with it.

@brij2006 I'm sorry that you are going through all this! But it's so important to be on the same page. Is your DH open to other treatments like acu and such, they can go along way to regulate your cycles without taking clomid?

I think he would be, honestly. He just wants to give nature more time to do its thing. He wants me to continue the PCOS diet, and wants me to get the ultrasound done on the next cycle so we can make sure there isn't more to it.  October will mark 1 year off BC, so we agreed that we will give it till then for my body to maybe regulate some more. FX it's just getting used to being off BC, and will begin to regulate some.

He just kept expressing how he wants to just "let things happen." I tried explaining to him that I'm trying to let my body just "let things happen" and it isn't ovulating or getting a period. So in order for it to "just happen" we are going to have to assist it.

Durrr!! Nothing's going to happen if your body isn't even doing the groundwork for becoming pregnant. How does he not see that?

I think it's so hard for guys to understand this part. It took my DH a while to understand and come around to the idea that my body would need a little help. 'just letting things happen' isn't going to work if you don't ovulate!
I agree doing all the testing to rule out any other causes is a great step and then you can focus on PCOS diet etc.
FX this cycle is shorter than the last one!

  • Whine: I just opened and smelled all the fall stuff I got at bath and body works last week and it took everything I had to not start using them now. ( it's like 105 degrees and I can't even remotely pretend its fall) also a huge FWP :-) Win: friends are buying us Italian tonight at our favorite restaurant for watching their pups!

  • @ecinereb & @luckyangel07 (I really like this function)

Sometimes I try to show him my chart and say, "see, I'm not ovulating. We can have as much sex as you want, but we're still not going to magically have a kid."

At this point I'm just going to give him some time. I don't want to feel like I'm rushing him into treatments when he isn't ready. In the meantime I'm going to continue to pray that I actually O on my own again, and we maybe don't have to go forward with treatments.  Fortunately we are young, so I'm in no major hurry.  But I'm a huge planner and the "what if's" and having no control is killing me.

Whine: I have a sink full of dishes in the sink and I can't manage to make myself wash them. I will be so glad when I am able to have a dishwasher. I would rather clean toilets than wash dishes :( Win: I start back to work tomorrow and I believe I'm finally ready. I will be teaching fourth grade Math and Spelling this year. I taught 3rd self contained last year so I will have the same group of kids. I have three of my same kids in my home room! :)

  • win: I'm addicted to The Wire on HBO (well, was on HBO, the series is over) and canNOT get enough.

whine: I'm so tired from staying up late watching HBO go because of the above.

I believe this also constitutes a FWP.
  • @amccul20 all I think of when I hear "Barnacle" is Barney Stinson's penis.

Haha @transponster I didn't even think about that. Apparently captain barnacle is also the name of a children's cartoon character!
  • Win: It's my first W&W post and I can drink now that we're taking the next month off.

Whine: I ordered my first pair of Frye boots for my bday present and they don't fit.
