So I don't know if I told you guys this but we were under contract on a house in Middletown. We were in love with it but our contract was contingent on our condo selling. Until our condo sold, the owners could still show the house and if someone made an offer, we had 72 hours to make a counter. Well, we got an email last night that someone has outbid us and we lost the house. We went into this with the mindset that if it was meant to be, it would happen. But it was still pretty crushing to get that email ... and on H's birthday no less.

I'm sorry that sucks. Hopefully you guys can find something even better, there's a ton of options around here.

Oh man! Im so sorry. That really sucks. That is the main reason we havent even started looking yet. I couldnt handle it if we lost it.

You will find something so much better! Just you wait.

oh no that sucks sooo much! I'm sorry @amcourt09 but at least your house is on the market now and even though you lost the house you're one step closer to getting out of your place and moving.

South St. George's. We just kind of stumbled upon it. I knew that a lot of things had to line up just right for us to get it but it's still sad.

How's your house going? Any interest? We have people looking but no offers.

Yeah we are in the same boat. Lots of looks, no offers. We just dropped the price, so we are hoping something will pop up from that. Its only been 90 days, but with all the showings we expected to hear something by now. At least some kind of feed back.

Same here. It's frustrating isn't it?

Oh yeah. People want to come at the most inconvient times. I will take evenings over the 1pm-2pm on a Tuesday afternoon showings. We have a dog, and a boy and they have to leave the house and sit on my neighbors front steps while they wander around. I have had to turn down showings becaues it was pouring and I wasnt going to put my kid through that. Having to get the dog out of the house, has been by far the worst part. I do like that the house is clean all the time now, which will continue on after we sell so I guess thats one good thing.

I like the mid-day showings because the late evening ones really mess with T's schedule but you're right about the dog. It's been a PITA trying to find something to do with Murph all day.

@amcourt09 and @Mrs.Skiz I feel your pain. Showings at inconvenient times, especially with the dog sucked...he was here a few times, but crated....we were at work so we had no choice. And losing a house stinks...we lost 2 because of not selling ours. Keeping my fingers crossed for both of you. Sometimes I wish we hadn't given up on selling ours, but getting the nursery ready has been worth it...
