Do you want to discuss the concert? Because I do!
I think it was one of the best shows I've ever seen...even Walt was in agreement and you know he doesn't have the same Adam feelings that I do. HA! I loved it when they broke into that Prince song. I also thought the letter he read was from a little girl...Mae clued me in that it was in fact a grown woman. Which kind of made me give her the side eye. (Walt says it is because I'm jealous it wasn't me). But I don't know...it's not something I'd do. *Shrugs* I also thought it was cute when he pointed out the girls in the Maroon 5 shirts who were dancing and having a good time. I love audience interaction like that.
He did the she will be loved sing along thing at that Jazz Fest concert that I watched, and it sounded like we sucked at it. HA! They sang my favorite song (Sunday Morning), so that made me happy. And they really just sounded so tight and it was awesome. At one point (I think Adam was playing guitar, because I"m a sucker for that), I leaned in to Walt and told him that I'm pretty sure my underpants just fell off. (We have an inside joke about music having that effect on women - a friend's older brothers told him when he was young that if you played a "Bread"* album it would just make a girls panties fall right off).
Anyway, what did you think? What were your favorite parts? And seriously, if you want to pack up and head out to the next show, you call me!
*for those of you reading this not born in the 70's, Bread is a soft rock group from back then. They had a song called "Make it with you". Listen to it sometime. Now get off my lawn!
Re: *Meghan*
I'm glad Walt enjoyed it - I think Rich would have too. Although I totally would have ditched him for an opportunity to go back stage.
Love the Bread comment! I will totally go to another show with you - I'd travel anywhere!!! I think it would be cool to get on an episode of The Voice too.
More details on my friend who met him - her brother went to UCLA and has known him since then (I think some of the band members went there), so he's probably known him for about 15 years. Anyway, her seats were in the pit and Adam's manager came into the crowd and found her. He said that Adam wanted to meet her, and invited her back stage after the show. She said she was freaking out (which can you even imagine Adam requesting to meet you?!?!) She said that they were all really nice, down to earth, cool, etc. She is an English teach and does some kind of assignment with her students with one of their songs. She was telling Adam about it, and she said he was all excited and was asking her all of these questions about it and things like that. They have now have a ton of pictures of Adam. Anyway, I wish I knew her better so that I could have gotten in on that!!!
