Anyone want to discuss the hubbub over the yet to be released doc about the yet to be decided potential 2016 presidential candidate? They haven't even finished production on them yet and there's an uproar already? Thoughts??
Re: Hillary documentaries

:-O
I guess in the future, documentaries should only be about dead people. That's the only possible solution.
And hello - re the timing? 2016 is THREE years away! Hillary retired as Sec of State and holds no office, and is on record as saying she wasn't interested in running again. If now is a bad time, when exactly is a good time?
Oh haha. YES! HRC is/was a way better candidate. Not that I'd vote for her anyway, but she was/is miles ahead of Obama.
Also, I do think the fact that she left her post as Secretary of State in Obama's second term of office is telling...meaning that she will run in 2016.
I think presidents tend to have lower approval ratings in their second terms (maybe there is or isn't factual data to back this up, it's just what it seems like to me) and I think HRC left her post to distance herself from Obama's less popular ratings - and the whole list of issues this administration has tarnishing (or in the very least, eye brow raising) it during its second term (Bengazi, NSA, Snowden, ACA, etc.).
I agree with bolded. We've already repeatedly discussed here on P&CE the fact that all the news agencies are indeed biased in one way or another toward a specific political party or ideology.
We all know that NBC and CNN both tend toward a liberal bias. To say otherwise is like saying the sun doesn't rise in the east and set in the west. Saying Fox News isn't biased toward conservatism is like saying the English alphabet doesn't begin with the letter "A."
An HRC documentary prior to the 2016 campaign season is suspect, at best.
Consider the source of the proposed documentary. Like Cincy mentioned, it's not like it's coming as a Lifetime made for TV movie, out of the History Channel, or off of some other channel that isn't so heavily political.
1. It is not close to the election. An example of close to the election would be "Hilary: The Movie" smear job that Citizens United released in 2008.
2. Hillary Clinton is not a candidate for anything. She's on the record with CNN, Fox, Charlie Rose and I don't know who else that she is not interested in running for office again. You're suggesting that they refuse to believe her?
3. I really don't understand why it makes a difference whether it's the History Channel, Lifetime, NBC or Fox, as long as the work is credible.
4. I don't why you assume this will be some sort of rah-rah, Hillary commercial instead of, I don't know, a documentary?
