One thing I don't like about the new format

If you flag someone for abuse or spam anyone can see who did the flagging.  I think that's weird I would rather it be anonymous.  

There's this chick on NBC who posted this weird list of books and something seemed off so I googled her s/n and realized she's the CEO of the website that created the list.  Then I clicked on her profile and realized she's posting weirdo lists all over the boards and playing it off like helpful info. (I'm quite the detective, aren't I) So I flagged it for spam but then I went to her profile and it's all 2 spam and has my profile pic next to it.  So I unflagged it because I felt uncomfortable.  It's weird that it's not anonymous, right?

No! I did not know that was a possibility or I would not have unflagged it.  I was worried home girl was going to stalk me though.

Flag all that spam that you come across... I make sure ALL spam is taken off every day and the second I do it no one will be able to tell that you flagged the spam because the post will be gone. ALSO, those users that put spam on our boards are banned as well -- SPAM'ing is a violation of our terms of service.

One more thing you guys: you will not earn badges based on flagging. We encourage all of the Nesties to point out any spam so we can delete spam posts right away -- this will benefit you guys because the boards will stay clean with only the content you want to be reading. But, if something is flagged and it doesn't violate TOS it will be unflagged and will remain on the boards. Dont' worry though if you flag something and it's not considered spam -- it's no big deal as long as your intentions were to help flag spam!
