  • I'm reading Phantom of the Opera. I'm only10% into it- it's okay. It's #18 of my goal of 25.  This past week I started and finished Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone. I really enjoyed it! I've finally jumped on the Harry Potter bandwagon!

  • Currently reading:

    - Theodore Roosevelt: A Life by Nathan Miller.  It is for my presidential challenge and is book #49 for the year.  I am really enjoying it so far.  It is exactly what I want out of a presidential biography.
    - I think I will also start The Girl Next Door by Jack Ketchum today as well on my Kindle.  I am in the mood for so sick, twisted, horror right now.  It will be book #50 for the year.

  • I'm reading Up to Me by M. Leighton.  It's a GR giveaway win.  It's not that great at all.  In fact, it feels like I'm reading crappy fan fiction.  But...if I want to win more GR giveaways, I need to read and review.  I banged out 100 pages yesterday.  Here's hoping I can get through the rest of it this weekend.  It's #51 of 75 for the year.

Chosen was my favorite of the series.  I read up to #7 and then quit because I felt like the overall plot had lost its way and I was getting bored.

I'm still working on Shantaram.  I'm enjoying it, but I think it helps that I know a bit about Bombay already.  I'm struggling with it a bit because it's very episodic, and I like a more defined story arc.  The writing, insight, characters, etc. are all great, but it's very easy for me to pick up and put down a book that's a series of vignettes without a clear connecting plotline (*cough* Outlander).

  • I'm halfway through The Moon and More by Sarah Dessen. It's #51 and just okay. I wanted a quick read but this isn't really it between the baby and the the blah storyline and characters. :(
