Did you know that 120 miles away is the south, like the deep traditional south? So apparently we're in "the south" now, and it's similar to the south where I grew up.
We're at Barnes and Noble for their story time today. I haven't been to a bookstore in eons, and the last one I went to was the independent one near Wegmans in Collegeville. I was amazed at all the toys that aren't even associated with books.
Brooks was drawn to the "girl" Legos, and was looking at all the boxes. One of the employees said to him, "the boy Legos are over here." And directed him to the "boy" Legos, I intervened and said "we're fine, thank you." I almost bought him some of the damn things to prove a point.
A little while later he wanted to play at the train table, I told him we had to go to the bathroom first. In his not so quiet voice he says, "so you can get pee pee out of your 'gina" (he doesn't say vagina, just the second syllable.) I responded in the affirmative and he grabbed my hand. I couldn't help notice the grandmother with her granddaughter next to us almost fall off her stool. I was so proud.
