If he is HIV+ and knew about it and never told you or the woman he was cheating with, that is illegal. It's a matter of public health. And also his future child could be carrying the virus as well. Definitely tell him and make sure your lawyer knows. I'm sure your attorney can better advise you on the legality of being diagnosed with HIV.

Also not to rain on you more. HIV takes about 3-6 months to propagate on a test meaning he had probably been unfaithful in the past.

Get a second test.

There are false positives.

And get a third, if need by.

If it turns out you are HIV+, I suggest a support group and yep, a good attorney: you need one anyway since you are ditching this bum.

It very well could be he was HIV positive during the entire time you've been with him.

You'd have to get a court order to have him sit for an HIV test, I think, to prove that he likely transmitted it to you
