  • I'm doing pretty well. I was concerned after vacation last week, but when I weighed in on Monday, I was down 1 pound.

    We need to get back on the excercise wagon. Hopefully, the dog will force us to walk every day!

  • Holding steady on the scale, but I've been more active. Gym and Sunday H and I went and walked the trail to the lighthouse down below our house. It was great! H wants to do more trails if the weekends are nice, and get our bikes fixed up and do the bike trail by the dam :-D

  • I have been at a plateau forever now!  I'm working out and eating well, I'm getting really frustrated.
  • You guys are making me sad.  Since moving into the house, we have been eating crap and having been able to go to the gym.  It has been really hard to bring lunch to work too since our fridge is acting like a freezer, (it is set at 44 degrees and when I got home from work yesterday a thermometer that I put inside said 18).  We have promised each other that we will go back to the gym soon though.

  • Sorry for my long post!

    Cathy, I am sorry your refrigerator is not working properly.  I hope there's just a setting that you're not noticing and you don't need to buy a new one.  I know when I don't have food in my house, I eat like a savage beast.  The less healthy it is, the more likely I am to eat it.

    Seipel, I know you said you've been working hard.  Maybe try switching something up.  Change the cardio that you're doing or even a few of your lifting activities.  Sometimes your body just needs a slight change.

    I thought I was good last week.  I did have a few drinks on Saturday and Sunday, but that was about the worst of it, until I got on the scale Monday morning with a 2 and a half pound gain.  It just made me more determined. 

    I have a goal, which is a certain outfit on the first day of school.  I want my black pencil skirt to fit and look good, so I am motivated.  I was planning to go to the gym on Monday, but SIL got sick and I had nephew all day.  By the time my mom took him, I had to food shop and cook, so gym went good bye.  We ate a healthy meal though.  Yesterday I went to the gym in my new sneakers.  I love them, they are so comfy!  I did the arc trainer for 30 minutes without stopping, I have never done that!  I went on the treadmill and I wanted to run a mile (I was able to a few months ago).  I could only do a half mile, but I was proud of myself. 

    I can't work out today because I have a patch on my back to confirm this formaldehyde allergy.  I can't get wet so if I work out, I can't fully shower.  I took a half shower this morning and I felt very silly  I get the patch off early tomorrow afternoon.  I am going straight to the gym to work out.  Then Friday I have my last hot ballet barre class and Saturday I am going to the gym again.  I do need to modify eating though...

    I think I would kill for Haagen Daz chocolate chocolate chip ice cream.  It was on sale last week at the supermarket closest to my house.  I looked for it and they had EVERY flavor but chocolate chocolate chip.  This week it's on sale at a different supermarket.  I tried to be strong Monday, but found myself strolling down the ice cream aisle.  Once again, they had EVERY flavor except what I wanted.  I am taking it as a sign from above that I don't need it, but I still can't get it off of my mind.
  • I know all of you can do it!! I haven't been actively trying to eat super healthy, I've just been aware of not eating really poorly! I've definitely been more active now that I'm teaching. My fitbit charger came in, so I've been trying to get in my 10,000 steps! I've succeeded the past two days. H and I are going to go for a walk here in a little bit to try and get in my last 2,000. I'm hanging around the 10 pound mark still. I have been for almost 2 weeks. I got my reward mani/pedi this weekend though :)
