What do you use for sensitive teeth?

Since I had a cavity filled on my top right molars, my left bottom molars have been sensitive to hot, cold, and sweet. I went back once to get the bite adjusted but now we went on vacation so it has been like 2.5 weeks since I got the adjustment - not sure if insurance will pay for another quick adjustment. So I think I will try some toothpaste for sensitive teeth first and see if that helps, since sensitivity could be a side effect of getting cavities filled. What do you use for your sensitive teeth?

Re: What do you use for sensitive teeth?

  • I use Colgate sensitive toothpaste. I've tried all of the toothpastes for sensitive teeth and haven't found one that seems to work better for me than the others.

  • Along with a sensitive toothpaste, try adding a fluoride mouth rinse at nights (with regular toothpaste- not to waste the sensitive kind) and sensitive toothpaste in the morning.
