Please cheer me up

Yesterday we had to have our sweet dog, Cody put to sleep after having him for 10 wonderful years. I could really use some cheering up, so please bring on all your funnies.

I am very sorry to hear this.  I was just in the same boat last month, having to put my 17 year old cat Booney to sleep.  It was horrible and I can sympathize.

Thank you! It just freaking sucks. DS, who is only 2.5, keeps asking for him and I keep having to explain that Cody is in Heaven. Normally, we always say good-bye to Cody before leaving for work & daycare. This morning it went like this:

 Beau: "Cody is in Heaven"

Me: 'Yes, Sweetie, Cody is in Heaven."

Beau: "With Jesus"

Me: "Yes, he is with Jesus and He will take good care of Cody."

Beau: "I love Jesus."

Me: "Me too, honey. Me too."

I am so sorry for your loss. While this poem didn't cheer me up when I lost a pet it always made me hopeful  for a reunion when my time on earth is done.
