Entryway decorating help needed, please!

I have been trying to decorate my long entry way for 3 years now and haven't had any luck. I was hoping someone will be able to provide some ideas and suggestions on how they would decorate this entryway. I have read, searched pictures, etc and come up with anything! Please help!

I had an entry like that and was never able to do anything with it while I lived there. Then after we left that house, I saw loooong console tables everywhere. Of course, right? 8-|

Pretty! I would put a vase with flowers on the table you have, maybe a couple of 4x6 pictures frames, one on each side of the vase. Behind it on the wall, I would find a painting or art piece to hang. 

On the other side I would hang a couple of pretty hooks or get a wall hook for hanging keys, coats, hats, scarves, etc... something like this would be pretty: http://daisyshoppe.com/images/fabric_flowers_wall_hooks_cream.jpg

Thanks so much for your inputs! I am going to start asap to search for the items yall have mentioned. For the long console table, should it be the entire length of the wall? I know I was running into a problem with the white molding in the middle of the wall and the height of the tables i was searching. I think I was focusing so much on that that it was blocking out all other ideas on how to decorate. Its so hard to decorate when all you have is a husband that is happy with it being empty to try and bounce ideas off of.
