I am getting ready now to head to a huge new/used book sale in my hometown. This year they have over 125,000 books. Every year I leave with a bag/box full and then go back for more. So excited!

Anyone else have any good plans this weekend?

Re: Book sale! - Update!!

  • I wish I had plans like that!! Just boring weekend stuff for me: laundry, cleaning and cooking.
  • I'm so jealous, I love book sales!!. Super boring here too, we are moving and rearranging furniture/piano, laundry, and getting the kids uniform ready for school next week.
  • We have a huge one here next week. Takes up two empty stores at the mall. I just cleared my shelves of old stuff to make room.
My favorite place on earth: The Amargosa Valley.

  • Ah so jealous! We have a used book sale at the library every week and twice a year they open up the basement for a used book bazaar. A dollar a bag, any sized bag? I love it.
Not much going on today. Cleaning, putting together the kitchen again, and packing for our trip!

“Would you tell me, please, which way I ought to go from here?"
"That depends a good deal on where you want to get to."
    "I don't much care where –"
"Then it doesn't matter which way you go.”

  • You know we're going to need a detailed list of what you got, right?

Haha I got a bunch of children's books: four little golden books, Charlotte's Web, the first two Babysitter's Club books, Huck Finn and Tom Sawyer, A Light in the Attic,The Borrowers, etc.

I got a bunch of Nora Roberts books. Her entire Cordina's Royal Family series, the Stanislaskis series, and two of her books that are a collection of older ones.

I got two Susan Mallery books: Two of a Kind, Summer Days, Almost Perfect, Finding Perfect, and Chasing Perfect.

Sarah's Key by Tatiana de Rosnay, Joyland by Stephen King, Until There Was You by Kristan Higgins, One Summer by David Baldacci, and a couple of Sherryl Woods books: Sandcastle Bay, Wind Chime Point,  and Sea Glass Island.

    All for only $21.50!!

But you guys. My favorite part was this little boy with a goofy hat looking for a Penn Dragon book. He was all over the place looking and getting so worried he wouldn't find any. I found it for him! And he just shrieked and looked so excited and was calling for his mom to hurry and help him grab them lol.

  • @julie37619 - Are your bookshelves arranged by color? Because, I think I might love you if they are...
I write sexy books. I read all the books. I love dresses & macarons.
