Boy Moms - Diaper Changes

DS has just started peeing at about every other diaper change. We have lots of changing pad covers so that is fine, but we need a solution to making sure the pee doesn't squirt (him, us, the walls, etc). 

What do you use for your DS during diaper changes?

We have a bunch of thin baby washcloths that we use to cover him with when we change diapers.

DS is a huge pee'er, but not during diaper changes. i can count on one hand the number of times he has peed during a diaper change (though most recently was a week or so ago with DH. he peed on DH's face and mouth. LOL). but when LO was a newb and we were still learning and afraid of everything we would throw a thin wash cloth over him while prepping a new diaper and getting it on him.

I have cloth diapers that I used specifically for covering him during diaper changes. I would cover him up as soon as the diaper came off which sometimes would prevent him from peeimg. It would also absorb it if/when he did pee. Thankfully that got better in time.

He doesn't pee that often during diaper changes. At least not for me. He's peed on h a few times, lol. I get the wipe out and the diaper opened before I do anything else. Then I unsnap his onsie, take off the diaper and quickly replace. If he peed a lot, I guess I would put a washcloth over him. Not sure that would do much.

Usually, I just try to change him really fast.  When I'm smart, I plop a prefold over his business.  I like the idea of wash cloths, though!  I have a whole bunch of those!

We used some burp cloths or washcloths to cover him during changes. He outgrew that within a few weeks of birth.

I had a friend who swore by pee pee tee pees. little teepees you put on their wee wee while changing them. You can find them on amazon.

We honestly haven't had that issue in the 7.5 months we've been changing diapers. I don't see how anything is faster than just putting the diaper on unless you don't have the next diaper out/ready before taking the dirty one off.

I put a wipe over it. I take off his diaper, put a wipe over it, new diaper on then quick wipe. DH doesn't do that and he's been peed on twice

DS loves to pee and poop as soon as his diaper comes off and then as soon as you put a new one on. We've gone through as many as 4 diapers in one change.

Anyways, now we open the diaper and quickly close it back up, then wait a while. Then we open again and put a wipe on top to block anything and finish wiping. Also we will sometimes work his legs in a bicycle type motion which will usually cause him to poop before we change his diaper (even if he's already pooped).
