TTC but....

H and I decided last month that we were finally going to start trying again. Well now, my MIL is staying with us while she is going through rehab since she cannot be by herself yet. We don't know yet how long she will be staying with us, I guess it depends on her therapy. I'm trying to decide if we should wait now b/c I don't know how I feel now with her right across the hall. I guess my question is would anyone else feel weird about it?

Re: TTC but....

  • Nope.

I certainly would be discrete about it...but I'd still do it. You're adults. It's your house. Your married. Your parents know you're having sex. Head to it.

I agree with the mystery posted! Bang it out if you so desire.

  • I wouldn't put off sex with my husband indefinitely for his mother... I'd learn how to be quieter.

    Good luck!

  • Ditto PPs. It's your house; you're married adults. If his mother thinks you're not having sex, she's deranged. Just keep the yelling and moaning to a minimum. ;)

  • If your MIL stays for 3 months, you are not going to have sex the entire time?  Whether it's for babymaking purposes or not, that is unrealistic!

  • If it was a few days, I could see not having sex maybe because you feel uncomfortable, but honestly, sex happens. Your MIL knows this. I wouldn't have marathon sex all around the house, but I wouldn't let a house guest interfere with my sex life.
  • You guys are right. Thanks everyone!
