Private School's

Anyone have any private school recommendation's? I cant believe I'm already looking into school for Annabelle. Elkton school's arent the greatest so we have been looking into private schools, preferably one's that are not religiously affiliated. I really like Tome School in North East and Hockessin Montessori School but they are pretty pricey. I guess you get what you pay for but those are the two that really stood out to us. We would be starting with pre k next year and I know some places have a waiting list.

I sent A to private school for kindergarten because I wasn't sure if I would be living in Cecil county or Middletown the month before he started. I ended up choosing TLK. He went to the Middletown center, but I know they have one in People's plaza too. I think the one in People's plaza goes up to grade 5, not totally sure though. He loved it there, class sizes were small, and his teacher was great.

For Pre-k he was at another daycare three days a week, not really a private school. I haven't had any experiences with anywhere else though. The only other private school that comes to mind is Caravel Academy.

For some reason, I don't think you'd be happy at Caravel. I don't know of any in Cecil County but we like the Independence School. That's in the Newark/Hockessin area. Since I would send my child to anywhere where Janet would be his teacher, I'm interested to see her response. Heeyyy Janet!

@Olalala157 - Are you specifically looking for a school she can attend for multiple years?

Independence School and Sanford School come to mind. They are $$$$$ though.

I would like for her to be able to stay at one place but I am open to moving after preschool.

Also if you are into Montessori I have heard great things about the CACC Montessori (it is multicultural although housed at the Chinese American community center) and the delaware international Montessori-both in hockessin.
