  • I was a big huge bum last week, but I'm back at it this week.  Gym Mon, walked at lunch yesterday, gym tonight. 

    I also read a blog about goals vs outcome.  How weight loss is an outcome and it's really not controlable, and you should reward GOALS that you can control.  It really stuck with me the more I thought about it. 

    So I now have a rewards system for working out 4 times a week.  And it's helping already.

    1 week - new bath and body works lotion

    2 weeks - new eye shadow

    3 weeks - new scarf

    4 weeks - pedi

    Debating on counting the weeks before, or starting the counts over when I get a reward.  Like if I get my work outs in this week, then the 2 weeks goal will start next week... of course it'll reset if I miss a week.

  • It's a long boring plateau for me...

    My weight is fluctuating the same 5lbs.  I'm actually center of those lbs today.  My waist and hip measurements have not changed since May!  Bust, neck and thigh are unchanged since June.  This morning I measure my belly button measurement and it was down a quarter inch since June, that's something right?! :-bd  There is now only a 1.5" difference between my waist and belly button.

    I've been doing really good with food too.  We booked our Vegas trip and our fridge broke a few days later.  So not only do we not have anywhere to store food, but little money to buy it with.  ~X( Looks like ramen and veggies from my garden until the new fridge comes....

  • Mana, I like that rewards idea.  I set up goals for my weight loose for 5, 10 and 15 pound marks.  I've met the first one, but I never went and got my reward (mani).  I might give your way a try.

    I've been doing ok.  I haven't been able to get to the gym in two weeks because of my great grandmothers passing and being out of town.  I also had a killer headache that just would not go away for a whole week.  It was horrible.  Monday was the first day I felt better.  Work has been crazy and a lot of manual labor is being done, so that's kinda like my work out right now.

    I've been eating ok too, but not as good as I should be.  I'm getting back onto my shake routine and hoping I can loose a few lbs before I go in for surgery.

  • I've partially fallen off the wagon. I am having a super lazy week. Since we are getting the dog on Friday, I feel like I'm in the frame of mind that we are going to have to walk her everyday. So, I'm taking the week off from working out. Not my brightest idea :/

  • I'm doing okay. Not making too much effort, but I'm hanging in the same 198-199 range (at least it's not going back up to 200!!)

    H is really frustrated because he's been busting his butt for the past month at the gym and has been eating better and not snacking, and he's seriously lost maybe a pound. :-/ I don't know what to say but keep at it!
