What food do you hate that everyone else seems to love?

Watermelon... something about the sweetness (yet lack of taste) and texture bother me.

Most forms of meat...I don't eat red meat or pork. So many people go crazy over steak but I've never liked the taste and having eaten red meat since high school. I'll eat chicken and turkey...but I've been eating less of that lately too. We only buy organic meat, so we have to eat less of it to stay within our grocery budget. I would probably be a vegetarian if the husband wasn't such a carnivore!

Cilantro.  I freaking love mexican food, but YUCK cilantro.  It tastes like skunk to me.  I'm ok if it's cooked it in, but I don't want it garished with it.

Pickles.  I loathe pickles!!  If they are put on a sandwich, I can't just pick them off.  The taste contaminates the bread and it's just ruined!  YUCK!

Seafood.  Most people I know love seafood and I can't stand any of it!

I hate mushrooms but H loves them so he puts them in everything. I just pull them out and put them on his plate.

I will second the vote for watermelon. Nope, just can't do it. Also, eggplant. I think it is a combination of the texture and flavor.

IDK if this counts as food, but KETCHUP!  It's just too sweet for me.  I even eat mustard with my fries.

@frank139@msu.edu - I like ketchup but mustard is my favorite, and I put it on my fries too!  There's a Eric Church song that says "I like mustard on my fries" I told H it was about me haha.  I even got my stepdaughter doing it.  She only eats mustard now haha.

I think that tomatoes are gross.  I hate when I get a sandwich and they are on it because even when you pick them off they leave their goobers behind.  Ewww.  The strange thing part...I love tomato sauce, ketchup, and salsa.  Go figure.

My H is the same way. I guess it goes back to the texture.

I hate tomatoes too!  But I can do pasta sauce all day long  No ketchup or salsa tough.

Avocado. I find it to be the most repulsive food ever. I get nauseous watching my nephew inhale avocado like he's never eaten before.

I hate when I go to a Mexican restaurant and they assume I want guacamole. There is nothing appetizing about eating avocado.

It's been cheap lately so my mom's been buying it and eating avocado with every meal. I lost my appetite with every meal she eats it.

Peas. I. hate. peas. I pick them out of everything they come in. Fried rice, pot pie, soup...anything! I catch a lot of crap for it too. It's a combination of texture and taste.

I also agree with tomatoes on sandwiches. I don't like them on sandwiches unless it's a BLT pretty much. I like tomatoes on their own, or with a little salt. I don't care for them on stuff....pretty much by themselves. I'm not crazy about salsa, I'm alright with ketchup, and I love spaghetti sauce, but don't try to feed me grilled, stewed, or cooked tomatoes!!

I also HATE ketchup!! Like tomatoes, tomato sauce and salsa but not ketchup. DH hate tomatoes but likes everything else!

Green peppers. I like every other pepper but green ones. They taste super bitter.
