  • An employee of mine told me that her husband was surprised that I was Black, because when I called her house looking for her and he answered, he thought I was so professional and articulate. She quickly followed this up with, "but he isn't racist!".  

    Your OP came off in this same way. I wasn't offended and didn't break out my torch and pitchfork but yeah, it totally came off that way. *kanye shrug*

  • I think it's offensive because why do a group of women who talk about books, or talk about or do anything together, equal lesbians? It's an inappropriate and inappropriate label that makes him seem like an ignorant and uneducated idiot.

    Do a bunch of girls at the mall shopping = lesbians?
    What about playing volleyball on the beach? Lesbians?
    So why talking about books on an online forum?
