I wish this weekend was over already so that we could start making decisions on what to do from here.

whoa whoa lets not rush that lol

I hope your decisons come easy :)

lol ... OK.  I've been stalling on this decision for 3.5 months now.  I'm anxious to make it and get started with the rest.

I was just thinking this. And then  I remembered that I still have a few shots of vodka in my purse from the flask @hoycie and I took to the movies last night. #comeonlunchtime

  • It's raining/thundering so loud here that I keep having to turn up my audiobook. It's annoying.
  • Tomorrow I am supposed to be "working from home". Instead I am taking DS1 to school and DS2 to the babysitter and I am going to eat junk food and watch tv all day by myself. I don't know when the last time it was that I was actually alone!

I need a drink too, btw. I've needed one since about 8:30 this morning.

  • The parent I saw using the leash used it for more than keeping the child from running. When the child bent over to pick something up they pulled up so that the child was hanging from it. The thing the child was trying to pick up was a ball ... not something dangerous.

  • I am in love with the idea of canning/preserving food, but all of the instructions I am finding are for marinara sauce, salsa, or jelly.  I'm beginning to be disappointed that my canning efforts will result in some sauce that we'll never use.

Except pickles.  Making my own pickles will totally be worthwhile.

And WTH is chutney?  Am I totally missing something awesome because I don't know what chutney is?  Please tell me chutney isn't just sauce to put on meat.

Chutneys are delicious. Well, all the ones I've had. They are usually a mix of fruits or veggies mixed with spices. Sometimes pickled. It's just a condiment in Indian cuisine.
I write sexy books. I read all the books. I love dresses & macarons.

@RiverPlate - Ha my randoms was going to be that I'm looking forward to canning with my MIL this fall/winter. We do the marinara sauce, jellies, salsa, but we also do peaches (peeled and sliced in juice), applesauce, tomatoes in chili spices for chili beans, different fruits for cobblers/pies, corn, pickles, green beans, and veggie soup.

I like having fresh things all year, especially when they are typically not in season/super expensive when I want them.

  • I am craving an Oreo Milkshake right now.

My daughter's teacher just sent me an email saying she's being a drama queen and disrupting the class (she's been super sick and is now afraid to eat.)  This is her first day back to school all week and it was a bit difficult this morning.  On one hand, yall who see my FB page--we all know she's a drama queen and the teacher's comment doesn't surprise me--however, I want to punch her in the face right now just for saying it--and she's not even wrong.

I love how Schmidt pronounces it chuteney.  This was all I could think of once chutney was mentioned.  :)

I think everyone thinks kid leashes are ridiculous... until they have a toddler who decides it would be super fun to take off running in the middle of the mall/store/street/airport/whatever. Then all of a sudden they seem like the most brilliant invention ever.
I do NOT have kids but I am a HUGE fan of parents using kid leashes.  Anything that helps you keep your children out of my way makes me very happy.

  • My random is that I made cupcakes today from scratch (Strawberry Lemonade) to take to a picnic this evening, but instead I just want to stay home and eat them all myself (maybe this should have been saved as a confession for tomorrow?).

I agree.  I thought they were awful until you go into a crowded (fill in the blank) and your kid runs off to see something somewhere and you have to weave through the heard of cattle to get to them.  Audrey had a monkey leash...
