Which cruise in late Oct or early Nov?
I'm Considering travel plans for the fall, and now that we live in the same country, I'm thinking of dragging my SO on a cruise to see what he thinks. I've cruised the Caribbean, Baltics, Norway, East Asia, Indian Ocean, and Canary Islands, but he's never cruised at all. (I considered a Blue Cruise on the Turkish coast or a small-ship sail around the Greek isles, but I'd really like to see how he does on a big traditional ship, in case he suffers from sea-sickness.)
Which would you pick for a first-time cruise in late October or early November? And why?
- Greek islands
- Dalmatian coast & Greek islands
- Greek islands & Turkish coast
- Black Sea (Turkey, Ukraine, Russia, Bulgaria)
- Canary Islands
- Western Mediterranean (Spain, France, few or no ports in Italy)
- Persian Gulf
- British Isles
- Scandinavia (I can't believe a traditional line even offers this option. Half the point is to get away from Scandinavia at that time of year!)

We did one that left from Venice - Turkey, Croatia, and the Greek Isles in early Nov a few years ago. DH wanted to avoid the heat and crowds for the Italy land based stuff we did. It worked for avoiding summer heat, but it was still really nice for our entire trip - mid 70s. That time of year can be very rainy, we were more worried about the time in Italy and the rain.Co-worker did the Canary Islands/Morocco/ Madeira leaving from Spain in something silly like Feb - they still had decent weather and a great trip.
I think the British Isles weather wouldn't be great
They have to be crazy with this one "Scandinavia (I can't believe a traditional line even offers this option. Half the point is to get away from Scandinavia at that time of year!)" There was snow during our Fjords cruise end of Aug/early Sept.
