Weekend Plans!

TGIF! What is everyone up to this weekend?

Re: Weekend Plans!

  • Tonight Mason has a birthday party.

Saturday I have to run early in the morning (my longest run ever, I'm nervous), get the car inspected, and run a bunch of other boring errands.  We don't have any other plans, but I would like to do the zoo or Children's Museum depending on the weather.

Sunday we have a family picnic.  I also need to start organizing for vacation!  woo hoo!
  • TGIF!

Depending on the time DH getshome from work today. I may take the older two to the Chill Out night at the Houston Zoo - hald-priced admission and they have a Lego animal exhibit going for another week, which I know Gav will love. I need to ask the local ladies board what kind of drive I'm looking at at 5pm, too - that will ultimately make up my mind.

The rest of the weekend is going to be implementing a chore chart for the boys, getting Gavin to do his homework poster, cleaning/laundry, hopefully some pool time, and sleep, perhaps?!

    Enjoy everyone!

  • My car is being inspected today Meghan!   My parents and sister are taking EJ for the whole weekend because they wanted a sleep over before the school year started. So until Sunday morning we are DINKs.  Tonight we plan on an adult dinner out.  Just not sure where yet. Tomorrow I expect to go to the strip district with my neighbor and later we are invited up the street for kid-play/mom drink and s'mores party while the boys all do their football draft. Sad EJ will miss out but happy to still enjoy the company of the ladies. Sunday we are having like 10 friends, their spouses and kids over for a swim playday. Something like 40 people. My head is spinning. But reminding myself that it is irrational and it is no big deal. So I need to stock up on some beverages for that festivity.
  • Not sure about tonight yet. Probably takeout and hang out.

Saturday and Sunday dd has a birthday party each day. So sometime tonight or tomorrow morning we need to get presents. I also have about 10 shops I need to go to and make returns!

  • We're going to our camp for the weekend.  It should be nice enough to enjoy swimming, go karts, and golf kart rides.  :)  Sunday, DH has a hockey game so I'll likely take the boys to watch Daddy score a few.  :)  Have a great weekend everyone!
  • Tonight-Don't know, hopefully no unexpected guest like last week

Saturday-Old house clean out. Nathan has all of upstairs emptied, so now I need to decide what stays and what goes. Maybe go to the strip.

Sunday - I think I am going to get a mani/pedi with my mom. My dad is taking my car in for service on Monday so I have to go to my parents to trade cars.

Also, at some point, I need to make a menu for next week. Nathan has volunteered to start dinner since he is done with work at 1 as long as I have it all ready. Sounds like a deal to me!

  • DH wanted to take the kids to see "Planes" tonight, but we have a busy weekend and I said that starting the weekend with a super late bedtime wasn't a good idea. Mean mommy.

Tonight - home, easy dinner, play outside, do laundry

Tomorrow - Pick up shin guards and soccer socks for the kids, then Kennywood! From when the rides open until the kids collapse

Sunday - I finally get to swim in Amanda's pool! Woot! Hopefully it will be a relaxing day, but since we have plans every weekend in September and school starts on Monday, I need to do some chores when I can.

I have four hats and a shawl that I need to get good pictures of as well, but I don't know if I can squeeze that in this weekend, too.

  • Continuing to unpack and organize our new house! I can't wait until my MIL leaves. I rarely complain about her but she has been her since Tuesday and if she orders me to do this or that or tells me where to put things in my house one more time I might just loose my shit. Seriously nothing is where I want it and DH knows I had a plan but isn't sticking up for me. It's going to take me another week to get things moved around. Now DH just walked in and told me I wasn't pulling my weight.

And this is why no one helped me unpack. Yes, we still have boxes in our one room but I know where everything is. I let DH do his thing in the garage and closet but I did the rest. There is only a few boxes left and they are books that I am waiting for the bookshelf.

And if my husband said sh!t, I would just tell him to f' off, which may or may not have occurred during our move.
