How long did you lurk on NBC before posting?

I technically jumped in twice. The first time I was on the wrong board, and didn't notice. I think it was a testament to how nice we all are that no one ratted me out for posting without an intro, lol. Anyways, I quietly backed out but then came back to lurk for a few weeks (months?) and joined the Twi board. A couple months later I joined the main board.

I lurked on MN for years though and never really got past a few posts. Those chicks were scary!

Probably about a year. But I'm still mostly a lurker. I finally got up the nerve to ask how the book challenges worked because I couldn't figure it out. lol

I can't even remember that far back. This is my third SN (pre-wedding, marriage, and post-divorce), and I have been around for many years. I don't remember lurking much. I am like a bull in a China shop. I just dive right in.

I have taken breaks from NBC, but I am enough of a fan of this new format (and that is saying a lot because I hate change) that I plan to stick around this time.

A yearish? It's probably more. I don't even know. When you add up the intermittent lurker times after my first post (my schedule changes and so does my posting ability), it's probably closer to 2 years.

a few days??? Like some others have said I quickly knew I had found where I belong! I used to be in a bookclub that met together once a month before our last move and I miss it sooo much. However with both DH and I being full time students there is *no* time for that right now. I was so excited that I still found a way to connect with other readers on a timetable that worked for me

Probably about 6 months. Lurking on some of the other boards scared me from ever posting there, but after lurking at NBC I knew it would be safe to join in!

Maybe two or three months? I remember reading a few posts on here now and then but I didn't really check that often until around last Christmas.
