Lender is giving me a headache

I faxed EVERYTHING yesterday at 9.17 (time stamp on fax). I emailed her everything as well. She calls us today....late in the day saying she didn't receive anything. We called her assistant yesterday and she said that they DID receive everything. So basically they have not even processed our paperwork yet. She asked me to fax and email it again. HELL NO! I am driving 45 min to an hour to physically hand it to her.  I am not giving it to her assistant I am handing it to her personally. Ugh!

Re: Lender is giving me a headache

  • Ugh, I'm sorry! As if buying a house wasn't stressful enough! Is there a way you can speak to her supervisor? Faxes can be misplaced or have troubles with delivery (especially if they're longer), but if you sent it via email AND her assistant confirmed they have it, it may be time to get someone else involved.

  • I didn't even want to deal with it, so I just drove their this morning and dropped it off. Now it is going to take a week and half to process! UGH! this is way past our 10 day period
  • Sounds familiar, I always thought home buying was a fun and wonderful experience but it was stressful because the lender, seller's agent, even seller sometimes did not receive documents in timely manner, didn't sign them in timely manner, things had to be re-signed, re-faxed, etc. Sorry to hear that, hope things go smoothly from here
  • I do too. I just hope that this does not push our move in date back. We are suppose to move in Sept, 27th. Plus I have a landlord I need to give him a move out date.
  • You usually have a longer contingency for you loan approval.  Please check with your real estate agent.  I had 30 days on my house.
  • Probably too late now, but where did you find these people? We used our realtors and they wanted to get it done. It was still a pain in the ass (where did these 7 checks over the past 6 months come from? Ummm, mom paying me back for brakes, a bonus from work, a refund from my previous car warranty, etc...) but once we had it figured out it wasn't too bad.
  • I hope you did end up getting the house. I just saw your previous post that this was a VA loan. We got our home because the previous buyers had a VA loan and didn't qualify. They had inspections and the whole 9 yards. At the last minute, they didn't qualify. Our lender said they had seen this before and it is how the numbers are run. Good luck!
  • Nope, we did not get the house. I wrote a post above about it.
