interview question

Soo...I'll try to make this short. Basically, I hate my job and I've hated my job for 3 years. Today I got an offer to interview for something I'm really interested in with more responsibility and is an increase in pay at a great university. The catch is that it's a term position until the end of June. Should I wait until the interview to ask if they would be renewing the position or if they would help find me another position within the university or should I ask preemptively before accepting the interview? H thinks I should wait until the interview so they can see that I'm a good candidate but I don't want to waste everybody's time because that would most likely be a deal breaker for me.

I once went on an interview for a position I did not accept because it was not full time. Two months later I received a call from a different facility wanting to interview me because the original interviewer had said how she wished she could have hired me.

Asking during the interview can show you're genuine interest in that company long-term, not just for some quick cash. That'll show them you're interested in their culture and your opportunity to be part of that environment. That's a good thing!

good luck!!! i know the interview process stinks!  If it doesnt work out think of it as good practice!
