Jason and I are planning on going to Philly the second weekend in October for our anniversary and going to Eastern State Penitentiary. Does anyone have any suggestions on a hotel we should look into or good places to eat? I've been to Philly a few times but it's been years and I always just did day trips.

TTC Since January 2011 - We have bad spermFor hotels, there's the Sheraton Society Hill, Marriott (I think it's on 12th and Market), the Loews, Doubletree, and Hotel Monaco (3rd and Walnut). You're in Old City or Center City wiyh all of those.
Once you decide where you're staying, I can recommend specific places to eat. Yelp is great to check for most any type of eatery. A few places in Chinatown are great and cheap. And I obviously know several places nearby my office, which is more of the Old City area.
Are you doing Terror Behind the Walls for Eastern State? I've still never gone for that, but really want to!
