Disney with toddler... What ticket?
DH has some vacation time coming up and we are going to take our toddler to Disney. We live about two hours away and are trying to figure out which tickets to buy. We have also looked at Undercover Tourist for the best days this fall to go so we will have minimum wait times. At first we were thinking we would do one of the parties.. the Mickey's Not Scary Halloween Party or the Very Merry Christmas Party. But since our son has been in daycare, it has changed his schedule all around and he now goes to bed at about 8 pm. We can get into MK at 4 so if he was tired and ready to go at bedtime, we would have to leave after four hours. Sometimes he will be more flexible, sometimes not. For $70 more, we could get the regular day ticket to MK and get there right at rope drop, leave the park to take a nap so maybe 12-3 and then come back until 7 (that is the time MK would close that day due to the party). I just don't know how long nap time would take esp with having to take the tram and monorail to get back to our car if we stay off property to save $$. We could do a Saturday but according to Undercover Tourist, they day that we could go would be busier and well, I want minimal lines for my toddler. So anyways, what would you suggest? Any advice or thoughts is greatly appreciated! Thanks!
Re: Disney with toddler... What ticket?
I say ignore your schedule - let him nap in the stroller and he will pass out at night.
I would say the parties would gather big crowds and since the park closes early to accommodate I would just go on a regular day and do it all.
Have fun!
As for the tickets. If I was doing two days rope drop I would add a party but if it was only one or two days I would do rope drop because you want your child to enjoy the park and not just the party.
