Hey ladies! It's been deader than dead. Now that summer is unofficially over and school is back in session, hopefully things around here will pick up, How is everyone? Anything new and/or exciting to share?
We've got the kid's 2nd birthday coming up next month. I've got to get his party invitations out, pretty much this weekend. That leaves me with old school, hand written invites lol. No Pinterest extravaganza for me. Other than that all is quiet over here. We're still unsuccessful on the house hunt but plan to try to get more aggressive if we can. Not much in the 'burbs fitting our preferred criteria and price range at the moment.
Re: check in here!
I can't believe V will be 2! I feel like he's so much older than J but they are only about 2 months apart. Don't feel bad about not making a big deal about the party. We did it for J's 1st bday and this time it's going to just be a small gathering at our house, probably with handwritten invites too!

So, yeah. I'm still waiting for this kid to get the-f out of my body. Clocks ticking buddy. I have a NST tomorrow and plan to try caster oil on Saturday if he's still a hold-out. Otherwise I'll be admitted Sunday night for Cervidil with an induction Monday morning if the Cervidil doesn't kick start my labor. He's low but not engaged and I'm not really progressing at all so it's getting to be just a little frustrating...
Aaaaand that's my check in! Please feel free to send any labor dust you've got floating around my way!
This summer flew by. I started a new job last month. The commute is much easier now on my new little family- appx 45 minutes round trip versus 3 hours round trip. I'm in the same field but with a lot more responsibility which is exciting. I'm enjoying learning new things each day.
Since we're parents of the year, we are finally working on completing the nursery. I hope to PIP soon. PSA we used Ikea of South Philly's delivery and assembly service for the furniture and were extremely pleased. I was skeptical based on online reviews, but we were very happy.
Little Guy will be 7 months next week. He's growing up so fast! It is amazing watching him accomplish and discover new things. He recently started food and seems to like everything except green beans. I am totally in love with him and with being a mom.

Not a ton going on with me. I came back to work this week after 5 glorious months! I only sobbed a few times, so I consider it a win. It helps knowing the boys are at home with my sister, who totally adores and loves them to pieces. Starting next week I'll be working from home twice a week so that'll definitely help.
Other than that, we're just chillin. Both boys are doing great. We're still waiting to hear when Colin's next catheter procedure will be. We have an appt on Tuesday. I hope we can keep waiting but I selfishly want it over with. Andrew is a happy little porker!

As for the CrossFit questions @SJU1982 and @PhillyGal34: yes, it is more expensive than our previous YMCA membership, but each visit can be described as small group personal training (no more than 10-12 people per class). You are in and out within 1 hour. We also are going to CF more (5x - 6x week) than we ever went to the gym. I also appreciate that this is a community--there's camaraderie among everyone in the classes, people are friendly, all workouts are scaled to your ability. I do the exact same exercises as my football playing husband, but with smaller weight amounts. Every milestone is celebrated with the results of each workout. We had a guy who is my age (35) who set personal records in his dead lift amounts last week; the same week, we had our 65 year old (yes, sixty five) member get her first rope climb.
What I like about our location is that everyone wants you to succeed. And yes, as with any type of physical activity/sport, you do find some people that become obsessed or too immersed. I think why I like it so much is because I see similar attitudes between CFers and trail runners. No one cares if you come in DFL, just as long as you tried hard and got to the finish line.
I am doing well with nothing too new going on- well, except for this twin thing. We had our 12 NT scan last week and everything looked good. Good ole baby b wouldn’t cooperative and the tech basically assaulted my stomach for an hour attempting to get her/him to move into proper position; the tech was not very happy. But, we then met with the specialist after that and went over everything which was reassuring. Also, because of the type of twins we don’t need to return until our 20 week anatomy scan in about 5 weeks. I have been feeling pretty well and am definitely starting to pop.

Ava is doing very well and has been on a shopping trip craze lately. The crazy girl tried ordering 1900 dollars worth of items on my kindle including a Jesus book and a cold weather human hamster wheel which she apparently really wanted J She is definitely 3 going on 13 with the smarts and attitude to prove it and always keeps me on my toes!
We have also been looking at houses for some time now. Our plan is to rent out our townhouse when we find a new home. However, the inventory has been very low and due to us not selling our home was limited in our mortgage lending amount as it will be a second home which has also limited our search some. The good news is we don’t have to move and want to make sure we find something we like but also one that will not break the bank especially with two more kids on the way.
Glad everyone including babies and children are doing well!!
@Matthew24 It must seriously be a baby B thing! Every ultrasound would take forever because Colin NEVER was in proper position.
Are they identical or fraternal? And are you finding out?

M is sassy and hilarious and is becoming less beastly as she gets closer to 4 years old. Arguing the merits of a human hamster wheel sounds exactly like something she'd do. I love being able to have "real" conversations with her and engage in more exciting activities than pretending to love the fake omelet she made for me in her childsized kitchen.
A is still an easy and happy baby. She is starting to walk more steadily while holding onto things. She can really cruise if you let her push the toy shopping cart. I just started plans for her first birthday party so Ill be sharing tissues with Amberbutt as I cry at how fast she is growing up.
DH is currently amidst his second interview for a job he REALLY wants and I may or may not be more nervous than he is.
Yes, that baby b has given me a run for my money!! They think they are fraternal as it appeared I ovulated twice and they are di/di but I guess only time will tell. And yes, we are finding out in mid- October. My initial gut feeling was boy/ girl but now I feel girl/ girl. I need at least one girl because we saved everything from Ava-fingers crossed. Yours are fraternal right or did I just make that up?
They each have their own placenta, right? Mine are definitely fraternal because we did IVF and they implanted two embryos. I swore up and down we were having one of each and was legit shocked when both turned out to be boys, although I'm super glad they were the same sex. A friend of mine has a girl and then had di/di twin girls. If you end up in the same boat and ever want to talk to someone in the exact same situation, I'm sure she'd share her email address.I believe her daughter is just a little bit older than yours. I can't wait to hear what you're having!!
