Aw, I feel your pain. DS's first words this morning were "Don't wanna go to Ms. Beth's today. I stay with you Mommy." It crushed me, but I know if I gave in and worked from home or stayed home with him, he would try it every day.

My boss has horrible karma. 

About a year ago, during a Tropical Storm that was almost a Hurricane, he made the entire office come to work. On his way to the office, a tree landed on his Mercedes while he was driving it. It was a MIRACLE he was okay and he was all over the news because it was literally the worst thing that happened during that tropical storm. He finally got that car replaced a few months ago. The week after he got it back, thieves stripped everything valuable off his car (headlights, grill, taillights, etc..) and he was without his car for another few weeks. Last night, thieves stripped everything off his car again. 

He has the worst luck EVER. I think he needs to do some good in the world.

@pinkybooklover09Just because you don't have a man hogging your bed space at night does not mean you are alone.  You have friends and family that love you.  And 40 does suck too much (trust me).

So I made it through the entire night without waking up to pee...I woke up at 6 and was a little confused! I normally wake up about 3 times lately. I figured either I was in a really deep awesome sleep or I was very dehydrated :-/

It's sort of that. You leave him for 5 minutes, then go in an comfort for 30 seconds without picking him up.

For us it was a miserable weekend, but he's been sleeping for 12 hours each night since December. I will be honest, it's the longest 5 minutes of your life.

@hoycie  It is not swollen or anything.  I didn't twist it badly, just enough to be annoying but not enough for it to hurt.  Just kind of feels weird but not bad weird.

Sometimes my phone auto-corrects Tatum's name to say "trauma."  Sometimes it's fitting and I want to leave it.

Also, I often call her Tate, and she usually corrects me and clarifies that her name is Tatum, not Tate.

Finally, in the past two weeks, she kissed one boy at school and was seen holding hands with another.  She's only 2.  I'm in for it.

I paid rent this morning and forgot to tell the landlord about our new kitten.

Again. Second month in a row.

I swear she's gonna hate me once I finally remember. But I'm too lazy to walk all the way back over there. I'm trying not to feel bad for forgetting.

My friend's son is deaf, and he transferred to a public school a few years ago because he wanted to play sports, and his deaf school was so tiny they don't really have sports.  His mom didn't want him to because of how hard it would be for him, but gave in because he really wanted it.  She was so scared of how the other kids would treat him, and that his grades would fall because he wouldn't have a translator or teachers used to deaf kids (no talking while writing on the chalkboard, stuff like that).

He is going into his senior year, plays varsity football, and he is SO GOOD that the local tv news station highlighted him and how he plays.  He spoke for a long time on camera and everything! 

Everyone is so proud of this kid, he's just amazing.

That's a good idea. I hope she won't mind me paying the fee tomorrow though because I won't be back in time today to pay it.

I met one of our new employees this morning, so I introduced myself and shook his hand and he majorly blushed.  It was so freaking cute- he's not cute, but the fact that he was visibly uncomfortable was cute. So that might make me mean, but whatever.

I don't think it was a RL person.  If it was, I can't remember.  For some reason, I think he had purple hair. But in my dream, it was AWESOME purple hair.

My department was restructured recently, so our pay scales were changed so everyone matched.  Apparently I didn't meet the minimum for the new pay scale, so  I got a 22% raise. There will be some shopping in my near future.

Also, I tried to make a peppermint mocha this morning (hot chocolate, coffee, peppermint extract).. I tried SO CAREFULLY to only pour like two drops of the extract in, and right as I was about to get the first drop it, I twitched and poured in like a whole teaspoon worth. It's still tasty, but it was STRONG. I kept telling myself the peppermint would combat the coffee breath.

DH's head almost exploded last winter whenever I started putting hot chocolate in my coffee.  He was blown away by the very idea and immediately started doing it.  He doesn't get out much.

I have the Paul Simon song The Boxer stuck in my head, but it's the Jerry Douglas w/Mumford and Sons version.  I don't even like Mumford and Sons that much. *ducks*  Usually all their music sounds the same to me.

bahaha it's so yummy. I love adding hot chocolate. I actually do it a lot more in the summer with iced coffee.

Speaking of which, I went "shoe" shopping yesterday for some running shoes and got some super cute neon blue Nikes with hot coral laces.  I figure it can't hurt in terms of motivation.
