Never mind.

Re: delete

  • What if?  OMG.

This is a personal decision that must be discussed between you and your husband.  Internet strangers cannot help you especially when you are on the precipice of declining fertility, gray hair and other geriatric issues.

D & L are here at 34 weeks 4 days by vaginal and breech delivery on 11/19/2013

  • Separate career and family planning.  When it feels right to TTC, do it.  Career stuff will work itself out.

That being said, do it responsibly.  Make sure you're able to afford some time unpaid, have health benefits, etc.

IUI - BFP! Baby boy born still - August 2012
    IVF - BFP - miscarriage June 2013
    FET - BFN
    FET - BFN
    Switched clinics
IVF with PGD - three embryos created, all healthy - July 2014
FET - transferred two embryos (boy and girl) - Nov 2014 - BFP!
    Baby Boy born July 2015

  • I honestly don't know how it is possible to separate career and family planning. They affect one another.

    Decide which is more important.

I lumped them together for too long.  It was a mistake.

ETA - and there is a very good chance that family and career can co-exist and things will work out just fine.  But don't let one dictate the other.

  • Holy sensitivity! There was definitely nothing said to have gotten you all upset to delete your post. Sounds like TTC needs to be a long way off for you; the maturity just isn't there.

  • I don't understand the DD.  Maybe there was another lurker out there that had the same questions.  Nobody gave you a snotty response, and all of the responses were valid points.

  • I didn't get to read the original post so I don't know if it was about this but since @seahorse01 mentioned this:

I'm a teacher. I don't currently have a child but my original plan was to wait until I had tenure before we started TTC. I wanted the job security to be there because I was paranoid. I'm glad I didn't wait. One of my co-workers said if you want a baby don't wait. She said, "That's why I only have one." So we started TTC at the start of my 3rd full year of teaching. We've been trying for over a year now with no luck. When we do have a baby, it will have to go to daycare because I'm the main breadwinner in the family.

I apologize if this isn't helpful...as I said I couldn't read the original post because you deleted it. I strongly suggest that you try to find a way to balance family and career. In my experience, you will drive yourself crazy if you don't!
