Deborah Harkness fans come in. I've got the inside scoop!
So today's meet and greet with Deborah Harkness was fantabulous! She's so gracious, and because she was speaking at a university the crowd was more academically minded, and she really responded to how much we appreciate the excellent research as well as the story itself. So, here's the news part (three-fold)
1. She's almost done writing the third books (like, within weeks). Between submitting to editors and all that jazz, my estimation (not hers) is that we may see this final book by the summer/fall of next year.
2. The rights to the stories belong to her again (they were with Warner Bros.) as of yesterday. So no movie any time soon and she won't pursue a movie until she finishes the last one.
3. She has many more books/movies in her head that she wants to write when she finishes the All Souls Trilogy, so woot woot! This includes but is not limited to a murder mystery series.
