Pees so much

So our dog is now almost 7 months old -  yey!

That said - when she's out of the crate she literally needs to go once an hour.

Is this normal?!
(FYI - she's over 30 lbs already!)

Re: Pees so much

  • It may be normal for her, or it could be a symptom of a UTI.  I highly recommend having her urine evaluated for signs of infection.

  • i agree it sounds like it could be a UTI.  At 7 months, my guy was holding longer than an hour.

  • If going out that often is new for her, I'd definitely have her checked out by a vet. If she's always needed to out A LOT, it might be completely normal for her. I honestly can't remember how often our Boxer needed to go out at 7 months, but I felt like it was pretty often, too.

  • I would get her checked out as well - at 7 months old, my pug only needed to go out 4-6 times a day (so every 4-6 hours) and could hold it longer if necessary, including overnight.
