KC RE recommendations?

Hi Ladies, I'm quickly approaching 1 year of TTC (in October). I was diagnosed in May with PCOS (BMI 25, not insulin resistant). I've taken Clomid twice (50mg and 100mg) and still have not ovulated. My OBGYN says we can do another round at 150mg and then she said she's recommend me to a specialist or I could try 5 mg Letrozole. I'm going to do the 150mg cycle and if I don't ovulate on that, I want to look at other options. So my question, if there are any Kansas City ladies in here, do you have a fertility center or reproductive endocrinologist you'd recommend? Thanks for your help!

Re: KC RE recommendations?

  • Hi.  Sorry about your diagnosis.  I am not sure if there are any KC women here, but my first step would be to call my insurance company or check their website and see what centers take your coverage.  There is also an IF board on The Bump where I believe there are a lot more varied posters (though not as dedicated) who may be able to help you specifically with KC.

    Good Luck!

  • Um, there are KC ladies here....

  • Hi! I'm a KC lady who happens to need an RE! I've been going to KU advanced reproductive medicine. It's on Nall right off 435. Way far from me (I'm a northlander on the MO side), but they have been wonderful and my insurance covers them. Go to your insurance website and see who's covered, then let me know your choices and ill tell you what I've heard. My insurance had 2 choices and one of them is retiring and I'm going to the other... Not a ton of options around here. I recommend Dr Sacha Krieg. Young and very knowledgable and respectful and sweet. She hasn't got me pg yet, but dang it she's trying! Pm me if you need anything else :)
