Broken blood vessels on dd's face

Dd' had to get her throat scoped at the ENT office this morning.  She screamed harder than I've ever heard her scream.  Now that we are home I noticed she has broken blood vessels all over her face; I guess from screaming.  Has anyone had any experience with broken blood vessels?  Do I need to do anything about it?

By the way, this morning was by far the worst parenting experience I've had so far.  Acting as a human straight jacket for my terrified two year old has left me completed drained and scarred for life.

  • Poor thing - yup, I'm sure it's from the screaming as well. They'll clear up in a day or two - there's nothing you can do about it to speed it up (as far as I know!).

And I can totally relate to the straight jacket comment - I had to do the same with Gavin for a FLU SHOT, when he was 5. FIVE! And then when he had to have stitches this past Spring, and we knew we had to have the docs knock him out.... oh dear God, I had to dye my hair the next day. lol He has such a low tolerance of pain, compared to my middle one. Thank goodness I got a break on Conall!

  • EJ needed two nurses to hold her still for her flu shot last fall... after 5 minutes of screaming at me that she didn't want a flu shot while they got it ready. good times.
Sorry it was such a traumatic moment for you both. I hope you treated yourselves to something special today!
