What are you doing to prepare for your Disney trip.  I did so much planning prior to making the hotel and dinner reservations, now I feel unprepared, but unsure of what to do next.  :-)

Re: Emmy

  • I was in that same lull over the summer...so the anticipation of vacation with nothing to do was killing me!

Right now (about a month & a half out) I'm starting to research grocery delivery options (we only have 1 breakfast reservation & the men in my family will kill me if they don't get some type of proper food, so we want to order milk, cereal, nutrigrain bars, yogurt, etc....to keep in the room)  so I looked into those options, got quotes & decided on a place this week.  I started a packing list but didn't get too far.

Our resort is part of the Magic Bands/Fast Pass + testing group, so last week I read up on that & made our FP+ reservations and got together a very, very, very loose plan for parks each day :)

  • Emmy, are you in an AoA suite or regular room? I'd read that if you're not in a suite you should call to ensure your room will have a fridge in the room. I'm planning on doing that a few weeks before we go.

  • we're in a regular room; I just read somewhere a few days ago that they completed the new fridge work in AoA, along with a few other resorts.  where are you staying?  let me see if I can dig up that article....

  • Oh Amy, I've also rented a double stroller, not sure if that's something you're planning on doing or not.

  • That's good to know. The article I saw was probably a month ago, and it had me worried.

  • Looks like I'm on the right track.  I've been looking into grocery delivery too--my family are big snackers.  :-)  Where did you decide to go with.

I ordered our personalized bands, but haven't reserved my fast passes yet.  I'm nervous about committing to a plan.  I'm a planner by nature, but DH is more of a fly by the seat of your pants type of guy...so I don't want the plan to be too strict and to stress him out.

I'm  not planning on a renting a double stroller.  Were going to take our umbrella stroller, mostly for Nolan, but if Brinley gets tired we can switch, or she can ride on one of our shoulders.  She weighs more than Nolan (just barely) but she feels like a feather where as he feels like a brick :-)

  • I went with Orlando Theme Park Shoppers

I priced out a few companies, and they were a bit cheaper and the woman that I was emailing with was super nice and helpful in getting quotes to me and answering questions.  I have all of my items I priced out and the quotes from a few other companies, if you're interested in seeing them, let me know & i can email you.

Could you send them over?  That would be awesome!  I have a rough list of what I want to order, but I'm always looking for new ideas  and I haven't delved into actually ordering anything yet.  How far in advance did they recommend you order?

she said I can place the order whenever I'd like (or place an initial & change it if necessary) but they just ask that you get the whole thing taken care of within 7 days of your trip.  I'll email it to you now.

  • We're at Port Orleans, so they haven't gotten to my hotel yet, but we have almost two months left, so there's still time :)
