I've been wanting to read.  However, I'm scared it wouldn't measure up to seven realms.

Exactly! I loved the Seven Realms series and miss Han & Raisa! If I take the plunge, I will be sure to post a review on here.

I just started the first book. I'm about 50 pages in. I will report back! I had been putting it off for the same reasons mentioned here, but I finally decided it was time. 

So far I am enjoying it. It isn't Seven Realms, but I am interested in the story, so there's promise. The book is fantasy (witches and wizards and all that), but it is contemporary and set in "our" world - at least so far. So that's different from SR.
