Help me plan a Philly itinerary!

Hi lady friends! I haven't been here in a while but I'm hoping you all could help me out because really... there is no one better to ask about this than you all. 

I'm in charge of planning a group "day-o-fun" for my team at work which consists of 25 people coming from all over the world. We'll be coming from Princeton in the morning  and the masses wanted to spend the day in Philly (originally we were going to do NYC but Philly is just easier). I need to put together an itinerary. Hopefully this shouldn't be too hard because we have an unlimited budget and my manger expects us to be boozing it up on the company's dime just about the entire day. The only main "issue" is finding things that will accommodate 25 people. 

I'm trying to come up with some sort of fun activity (or two or three or however many!), lunch, dinner, drinks and more drinks. Kind of hoping for all of that to be in kind of the same location as navigating a group of 25 people around may become a bit of a challenge. 

Thoughts? Ideas? Ah! HELP!

This may be cheesy, but what about one of those trolley tours in Old City? If its soon and the Phillies are home, perhaps a game at night?

You could do a chartered Mural Arts Tour.  We did one for a company outing last summer.  The Mural Arts Program does have a tour that includes some visits to well known watering holes.

I was thinking trolley tour as well.  Add some more cheesiness, but ways to see some local things....Spirit of Philadelphia, there is/was a steamboat tour and is the duck boat in action these days?

Would going via segway be corny/weird etc....?  I have actually heard this is fun!  Not sure when people are drinking though

Oh we did the Spirit of Philadelphia one year. It was a nice cruise along the river, but we were on the deck avoiding the lunchtime entertainment. It was reminiscent of a cheesy dinner show a la Dirty Dancing or a 1970s Poconos getaway.  Most of the feedback was "no boat for next year" because of the feeling of being trapped.

Thanks girls! I will look into this Mural Arts tour as well as the trolley tours. I want to show everyone around the city and make it fun but I'm having a hard time trying to distinguish where the fine line of interesting/fun and corny 8th grade class trip is. Thank you for the input. I totally appreciate it!!

There is a booze cruise that you can charter as well.....that is fun, and definitely not the 8th grade corniness.  But, probably not appropriate either.  Good luck, this is a tough one.

I've worked with City Food Tours for a few work events. The guides are great, and they can customize tours for your group and budget (just food, wine/beer pairings, scavenger hunt, 3 course dine-around, etc.)

Yes, unlimited and we do actually have a few on our lunch/dinner options list. Just trying to coordinate them with possible activities during the day.

Context travels does really awesome tours if you want history. I'm sure they can create a speciality tour intermixed with drink stops if you wanted.

It's not really Philly-specific, but what about Lucky Strikes in Center City? We went to a company function there before with J's old employer that had employees from 5 different states. And there's North Bowl in Northern Liberties, as well.

What about cheesesteaks down Pat's/Gino's for lunch?  That's definitely touresty. 

And I really like @Letranger's idea.  I think that would be ideal as it could combine sighseeing with drinks/meals.
