Rude or not, IF you are still here in 4 years, not ovulating, you'll know exactly how reading that made RAB feel.  Not that lucky can't be frustrated after a year of not ovulating....but it's not always the most helpful advice to receive from someone when you've been at it for 5 years.

Sorry. I guess next time I won't show any support. Sorry if I offended you RAB.

I am going to pipe in here. Sorry RAB, I know you don't like fighting....
It is one of my biggest nest pet peeves when people shut down like this. "I guess next time I won't show any support". You know good and well that's not what Aim nor Math were saying. Passive aggressive does not fly with me.

They were saying that maybe something to the tune of, "I can only imagine how that feels! I've been through it after a couple months, years must be crazy" or something of that nature would be better received. Supporting and empathizing without equalizing. If you can't educate people on living harmoniously with inferiors here, where can you?! We are not picking on you, just educating. You saying that is the equivalent of a fertile friend saying "yeah I feel your pain. That one month we tried and AF came it was devastating". Yes her pain is real, as is yours Brij, but it ISN'T the same.

~My Bitter Bitches Be the Best~

  • I'm not trying to start anything and in no way do I feel as though my problems are worse than the next persons. But isn't this a board where woman can go and support each other and not feel alone in their journey? We are all striving for the same end goal of getting pregnant or becoming parents.
Didn't we just post Wednesday and yesterday on how, no matter whether it has been 1 month or 50 months, AF during TTC sucks the same? So why must some of us newer women feel as though we need to tread lightly about what we say or how we post support to a more seasoned GPer?
I just want to express that this post and the FFC post made me very down on myself. It has made me feel like I'm alone in this journey and that I don't have anywhere to go for support (because I haven't been TTC for as long as others). Which I don't think is the intention for most people on this board.
So again, I didn't mean to upset RAB with my comment. And I truly am hopeful and wish this is it for her. It was purely that I feel her pain about having long cycles and not ovulating without meds (we've only had 1 fair shot to conceive since beginning TTC because of this). Not anything else. Sorry I didn't know her entire background before posting my support. For me, it it's easier to back down and say I'm sorry and I will tread lightly from now on before posting support.
