So which do you judge more?

People who don't like a book you love or people who love a book you can't stand?

Right now it's this. Mostly because it's usually (always) 50SoG.

Shit, I don't know. I judge both pretty harshly :P
I could always go back and add Both as an option.  lol

  • Option #3

People who read bad books AND wear bad shoes.

I only do one of the two. Can we be friends.

I think as long as they are Toms and not Crocs, you are okay.

  • This is hard, it depends on the book I hated, if it's 50SoG, I judge hard but if the book was just one that was my style not so much.

    It's slippery as waterweed.
  • I judge both. Harshly. I have literally stopped speaking to someone who constantly harped on how much she loves FSoG and that it's the best book evarrrrrr.

The thing is, if you just don't care about shoes, why would you purposely buy ugly shoes?  There ARE comfortable shoes that exist that aren't ugly.  Wear those.

Ugh. I hate that there are people out there who think it is the best book.

Probably because they're cheaper since people don't want them.  :-P Or your size 10.5 wide width monsters have finally won.  Mine have tried to win, but so far they have failed, although 750 feet of asphalt flooring at my current job has relegated me to (cute) flats.

  • Originally I would have said people who hate books I love, but recently someone I'm friends with said she didn't like HP and I let our friendship live. So now I'm not sure.
    image
  • I am as judgey as they come, but I don't judge much surrounding books. I have pretty narrow taste in the types of books I like, so it is not surprising to me when people don't like the same stuff I do.

  • I don't spend much time with people who read beyond the latest fads. 50SoG, HungerGames, or Twilight. So I don't really judge I just get excited thinking someone is even reading! Haha.
If anything I judge the shit out of people who don't read anything!

  • Honestly, it depends on the book.  I am more judgey of people who say they never read, or the thought of reading surprises them.  I'm slightly judgey of people like my SIL, who runs out to buy the newest IT book and then only reads half.

I am also judgey of bad shoes.  A friend of a friend's husband is the regional manager for DSW for DC/VA/MD, and I've never seen her wear anything besides flip-flops.  head/desk.

  • I normally don't care if other people hate a book I love or love a book I hate. The exception is 50SoG. I get super judgey when I hear people rave about how much they loved 50SoG.

I would say both. I don't feel like I judge either too harshly though. To each their own and everything. I am always pretty happy just to talk to other people who enjoy reading. If they read what I feel like is crap, I try to introduce them to books they may like that aren't crap (IMO). lol

YES. This is my aunt. She's read half of the first 50SOG, HP, HG, etc. and looooooveesss them so much and they are the best books ever!

    Shut up, aunt.

  • Man I started a judgy craze hahaha!!!

I truly love books but don't judge people on what they like/don't like. Maybe I am not an amazing reader or don't get the reason to judge someone based on a book (there is so much more to life). I think what @84Lauren said in the poll about judging about books makes the most sense to me; but then again, maybe I just don't get as emotionally connected to books as others do.

    Judge on ;-)

There is a little bit more to life than books.  But not much.

  • @RiverPlate - I had to read your response 3 or 4 times because I kept thinking, "why would anyone go out and buy the latest IT (as in Information Technology) book? No wonder she doesn't finish them." #readingcomprehensionfail
