I had an Endocrinologist appointment today. I found out that my thyroid levels are finally in check! Woot! I can't wait for my appointment with my OBGYN on Monday, because now she *should* be ok to start testing/clomid. It is such a relief to finally have things moving in the right direction. I am so excited. My endo made sure to tell me that if I get pregnant before my next appointment to call him right away to get my meds adjusted and have blood drawn. He has never mentioned that before, so this gives me a little bit more hope also. He is upping my meds one more time, to bring my levels down a little more, but I am within the range he wants for now.
I have a dilemma though, my OBGYN is about 45 mins away. I absolutely love her, but if we start testing and such, how often will I have to go there to see her? I assume I will be able to do some/most testing closer to home. Should I start looking into switching OBGYNs now, or wait until I get pregnant? I plan on using a midwife to deliver and throughout my pregnancy if that matters. I want to deliver at a hospital that is closer, and has a better reputation than the one that my current OBGYN is affiliated with.
Sorry for rambling, just trying to work through all my questions, and not sure how to ask them I guess. lol
