Getting hubs involved

How can I get the hubster involved in working out with me? I work out 6 days a week (5 of them at work though), and I'd like to get him to join me for my weekend workout sometimes. He can't do high impact, because he's prone to shin splints, and I run all the time, but I'd happily modify my schedule for him.

I *think* I can get him to start moving a little. When I started aiming our at-home meals in a healthier direction, he went along with it, no problem. I just don't know how.

Re: Getting hubs involved

  • Weightlifting is a great partner workout, low-impact, and you can motivate/spot each other :)
  • Hitting the nature trails is nice couples activity with low-impact walking/hiking. I just discovered a fit trail where every 200 feet or so there are different exercises. They start with stretching and then move to push-ups, jumping jacks and things of that like. It was really fun, the exercises provided nice breaks and I really felt like I got a good workout from it.
