How do you guys pick the total page count? I've noticed that the same book that has been read by several people has different page numbers listed.  We could possibly have more pages read then what is being shown.

I always go to the B&N site and use their page count.

I use the GR page count, but I'm not as picky about the edition as I probably should be.  If it's the right cover, I don't really pay attention to much else.

Different versions (PB, HC, MM...) will have different page counts, though I don't know that there's a way to account for that. They're not necessarily wrong.

I use whatever the count is in the book itself, but maybe that's because I'm in the minority that does most of their reading in paper books not ebooks?

I use Goodreads, for the version I have, if I can. Or I use the actual book itself. Whatever is the most handy at the time.

I just use whatever book I read. As in the book in my hand. I never considered that there was another way

Maybe I'll start using goodreads since that's what the majority seem to use.

This is what I do. If I have the actual book on hand, then I'll just look and see the page numbers. Normally I just put what Goodreads has listed though.

I mostly use Goodreads unless I happen to have the actual book that I read near me at the time, then I will use the actually number from whatever edition I read.

I use Goodreads. I usually read ebooks and the page numbers are never really accurate.

If I read an ebook I'll usually look at the page count for the hardcover version on GR and use that. If I have the book I'll just check the book.

This is what I do. I usually use Goodreads because I don't always have the book handy when I'm actually entering stuff into my spreadsheet.

I keep track on my own spreadsheet, so I have a note in my phone that when I finish a book I jot the page count down as soon as I finish. So, I use the book I'm physically reading or the page count on my nook if it's an ebook.
