Should I file a Missing Person's Report?
My husband and I are in the middle of a divorce. We had been staying in the same house until our final divorce hearing (10/08). Yesterday he called and told me he was done and said he wished me the best. I haven't heard from him since. He was not at the house last night when I got home. He didn't take any clothes, his knee brace was still there and all of his medication was still there. I called his Dad, Brother and Sister and they had not heard from him. His cell phone goes straight top VM.
I know he couldn't have gone far, he cannot drive. He also has a bad knee and I can't imagine he could have walked very far. I do know he is suicidal (he has attempted suicide 3 times in the past 2 months). My question is, should I file a missing person's report? If he left on his own and found somewhere to go, that's fine. But I am concerned he may have done something to hurt himself, and although I am at peace with us getting divorced, I would hate to think he is laying in some ditch somewhere hurt or worse.
What are your thoughts?
