We plan on getting the hell out of here NMT 5 years. I am not a flatlander. While I love the beach, it gets old and can never be fully vacuumed out of berber carpets. And the schools here suck donkey balls.
We are still looking for our next and final home. We have to go where the jobs are, but it WILL have mountains.

DH has two children from his previous marriage. SD is 25 and living on her own. SS is one month shy of 18 and lives with us while finishing highschool. And our DD is 4.

What is one thing you do that drives your significant other crazy?
We have different ways of speaking to each other. He feels that I am not direct enough and I feel that I speak in a way that is less authoritative. Ex, if I would like to go out for a girls night out, I think it is polite to ask him what his schedule is like that weekend (he teaches online college courses) first, so as not to interrupt WORK for PLAY.
He finds that rude for some reason. He thinks I should just walk up to him and say "I want to go out Saturday afternoon, can you watch DD?"
But at the same time will tell me that I do not consider his time/schedule?
What drives YOU crazy about them?
I hate the SAHM digs. MY SAH is only (if that) 50% out of desire.
For the first 3.8 years of DD's life we were stationed overseas and I could not FIND a job. Second, either in Germany or here in FL, things are not close and SS did not have a license until 3 weeks ago (no licence in Germany and the FL laws all conspired against us). Between SS's job, Jr ROTC commitments, and DD's activities, I had to be home 2pm and on. Then, like all bases, we are in a small town, with little or no jobs (many go to those who retired from the AF right into the job) and I feel horrid taking a many of the lower paying jobs because we don't NEED the money and there are hundreds of other families that do. Finally, even if I did get a job, the cost of daycare is crazy cakes here. At the very best, I might be bringing home $100-$200 a month.
Anywho, I loath the fact that he leaves dishes in the sink when there is an open dishwasher, but will complain to others (his family in particular) about dishes in the sink. Or that he will bitch about the toys being left in the living room, all the while there is a pair of stinky socks on the floor in his office. Or that I didn't understand his disappointment at not getting a vacay for Columbus Day because I am on vacation every day.
The worst part of cleaning your home?
Doing laundry. I loath doing laundry.

We actually live in Canada

We will probably stay here - it's where most of our family and friends are. But, we have talked about moving to back to California for me business, and living down there. Some of my family still lives in California as well - so we would have a small, but lovely support system.

We don't have any kids, but one or two will be the max for us. We I own my own business, and he is looking to start his in the next 5 years, so we are both pretty professionally busy.

Yes! We are SO excited about our baby names - they have such meaning to our families. Mclean for a Boy (probably go by Mac) and Lena for a girl!

mmmm, we're pretty in sync but things like mis matched socks, or socks not being folded together make him crazy. I just kind of throw them in the sock drawer...oopsies!

How picky he can be about dinner, we will make a plan, but sometimes he won't "feel like it" and then we have to change it. Laughable/im going to kill you at the same time :P
