Another pregnant friend

Oops, didn't finish the question. Just found out yet another friend is pregnant. Tho it doesn't make me change my mind, it makes me rethink my decision. I always end up back on the no kids side, for many reasons, but was just wondering if other people who don't want kids react the same way when friends/ family seem to be having a baby boom

My sister has 4 kids. I've never felt the urge. I am also in my late 30's and feel like at this point, if we choose to have kids we should REALLY want them. I just don't. I didn't think too many people didn't want kids as much as I don't, but I think my H wants them even less. 

There have been times when we've talked about if we're sure we don't want them. The conclusion is always the same. We have the same reservations about not having any, but the desire to remain child-free is stronger. I think we're really comfortable with our decision at this point.

We do eventually want kids, just not at the moment. So whenever someone has kids it just makes me want them right now! Luckily none of our friends are married yet so it's not too bad.

I'm 29 and DH is 30, alot of our friends are now just starting to get pregnant or are thinking about it. Every time i see a pregnancy announcement on FB my first thought is like oh god are you ready for this? and then thank god its not me.....terrible i know, I just have no desire for kids of my own

Every other month I'm getting hit with other announcement, a lot on 2 kids now. I actually get sad I feel as if I'm losing a friend haha selfish I know. Sometimes I feel left out but then me and H get to do fun stuff on spare of a moment and those feelings go away lol,

I think you hit the nail on the head, that is exactly how I feel. It's just nice to know that I'm not the only one!

We tried to have kids for a long time, but couldn't.  Now we're at the point where we don't want them anymore and are happy with the way things are.  I get sad when I hear a pregnancy announcement, but I know it's because I won't see that person again for like two years!  People fall off the face of the earth as soon as they're knocked up.

I know exactly what you mean! I really can’t stand children, and I hate them (even unborn) for turning my beautiful and brilliant girlfriends into complete and utter imbeciles.

My biggest worry is that will lose all my friends once they have children. Had that happen. People stopped being individuals and were only mummy or daddy.

I am sometimes the oppersite... like this weekend at the family cook out... there were sooooo many kids under the age of 4 it made me cringe. I enjoyed my freedom at the party to not have to watch anyone but myself!
