Can I make a suggestion?  Would it be stupid to have everyone put their screennames on Elfster? Not that I need to know what everyone's real name is....  But if it's not there and someone only participated on the GTKY thread instead of making a wish list, how would we know what they like?  I certainly don't want to send any white elephants!

That's a good idea but I'm not comfortable sharing my real name with everyone. Is there a way to let just the person you're matched with know your sn?

I believe you can send annonymous messages on Elfster, I don't know if they're private though.

What if you ONLY use your screenname (and don't enter your real name at all)? Or perhaps use your first name and put your screenname as your last name? Another option would be if you participated in the GTKY thread, you could copy and paste your answers in your profile for easy reference.  Of course, that doesn't help if someone didn't participate AND doesn't have a wishlist lol.

I believe my sn is on there, under my real name.

I believe in the past, there was also an NSA screen name, that we could use to post questions or PMs, without giving it away..  Is that a possibility?

You could have blueeyedblossom email your NSA your real name, but if you post it on Elfster, everyone involved in the exchange will be able to see your name.  I can't speak for the people particpating this round, but I have yet to have a creepy stalker send me shit because they found out my real name through Elfster.

I can see some people's real names. Mine is not my real name...muahahah. If you have me and want my real name (for mailing) or screen name, PM blueeyed and she can get in touch with me. 

Oh, and totally unrelated, do I have to buy what's on my NSA's wishlist? I use it as a guideline...Is anyone here going to be angry if they get something not on their wishlist?

Some people have their names and not their screen names and vice versa, its hard to match it up with one and not the other.

I've always just used the wish list as a guideline, and expect mine to be used as a guideline also. Part of the fun is coming up with your own gifts.

Just try to have it mailed by the 15th, you want it to be at their house by the end of the month.

 

ALSO, don't forget to do a thank you post to your NSA when you receive your gift, PIP's are awesome! :-)
