Candy corn.. especially the one with the pumpkins and chocolate candy corn. But I also really love the mini Twizzlers (they're fatter and shorter than regular Twizzlers and taste completely different IMO)! I squeal when I see them in the store! I have to eat twice as many this year because last year I couldn't eat any because I read that it's not good to eat licorice while pg.

    They are totally different!

And, I've never heard this before... and it makes me not want to get pregnant, ever. Twizzlers are a food group for me!

I've never heard of that! I seriously ate twizzlers a few times a week while pregnant with Brynne and she's fine. I wonder why it's not good to eat twizzlers while pregnant.

I'm a big fan of smarties! Oh, and there are these caramel apple lollipops that are pretty awesome.

    Canadian or american smarties?

American.  I just found out that there were Canadian smarties.  Wow, so completely different.  The American Smarties are free of the big 8 allergens, so that's pretty cool for me!

American Smarties (We know these as Rockets)

    Canadian Smarties (candy coated chocolate)

Chocolate smarties trump sugar smarties in my opinion.

Um... Ya.  Chocolate > chalky sugar any day

I love me some Rockets at Halloween, but chocolate always wins.

    Never thought of this!  Genius!!!

And I agree with OP, for some reason the mini pumpkin "candy corn" taste much better than the corn shaped "candy corn"

  • Pumpkin Spice Hershey Kisses but only if they are baked into cookies or brownies.

Not much of a candy corn fan.  and that candy corn with the brown is just wrong.

Are there American things that Canadians crave in particular? Since Americans seem to crave the Canadian versions...at least when it comes to Smarties that's the case!

I personally love Aero bars.  The mint ones in particular.

WHAT?!? Really...welp I failed at this hahaha
    Me too.  OOPS.
This has to do with the black licorice.  Red licorice isn't technically licorice, so it's perfectly fine for pg.  Why do I know this?  No idea.

I love all halloween candy, too, but I love that you can get 100 Grand bars in snack sizes this time of year.  I stick them in the fridge and try to break a tooth every time I eat one.  Love them.  I also love the silly stuff like Lik Em Sticks that you can get in single servers too.

  • I love the Reese's pumpkins. All that amazing peanut butter...I love the increased PB/chocolate ratio in those things.

I also like candy corn. I could eat a ton of it, but I try to only buy it from the bulk bins so I can control how much I have in my house.

  • I don't think that WebMD is necessarily the best source for it, but here's a article about black licorice and pregnancy.
