DH and I are planning an awesome food and pumpkin/octoberfest beer weekend, just the two of us. I am so dang excited about this. We stopped by a local liquor store last night and were shocked to find some of our all time favorites that we couldn't find last year. Needless to say, we went a little crazy on the purchases, but I don't even care. Several were beers we thought we would never get to have again after moving since they previously didn't ship to Missouri.

Other than that, no plans. This week has been pretty craptastic at work so I'm incredibly glad it's Friday.

More work in the bathroom!  Hopefully DH can get the drywall sanded and ready for paint tonight.  He has to work tomorrow, so the plan is that I'll paint tomorrow.  Maybe then we can get stuff moved in Sunday!  Ahhh!

We are supposed to take the kiddo to a free PBS Thomas the Train event tomorrow, hopefully it doesn't get can cancelled due to rain. Other than that, relax with H and hope not to see anyone I dont't want to.

Tonight we're going with some friends to small-town Iowa for farm-to-table dinner and bowling alley bar entertainment. good times.
Tomorrow, headed out of town to college football game and hopefully seeing "Prisoners" on Sunday.
UPDATE: Remember the woman hosting herself a baby shower? Well, it turns out she would like me to bake the cake for her second one, the one I wasn't going to. AND, she has told my friend (the one I said I'd go for) that she wants to wear her dress to the shower. It is at a LEVEL, people. She is horrid.

Hi. I feel like I haven't been around lately. We moved into our house and the ILs have been here since. They've been driving me crazy and taking over the place. MIL has rearranged stuff in my kitchen. FIL keeps changing/fixing things we didn't ask him to change. They also passive-aggressively extended their trip from 1 week to 2. It was driving my anxiety through the roof. Finally I got mad at H for not sticking up for us when I was clearly upset. So he grew some balls and told them they need to stick to OUR plan and get out when they originally said they would.

I think they still are not leaving until Monday, which I'm annoyed about because I lose the weekend that I could have really used to relax because I've been so stressed out lately. They are pissed at us but I don't care. I want to live in my own house, especially since it's our first place and we haven't been able to enjoy it just us yet.

Sounds like everyone has a great weekend (except Quirky, that really sucks. I feel for you).

I work Sunday, boo.. Today, Saturday, has been great so far! We ran a couple of errands and have just been enjoying each other's company. And I'm loving the cool front! Love it! Feels like fall in Texas.
