"watch out. the yellow ones don't stop"

Ha! H and I almost got run over by a bus on our run today. So this quote is now in my head.

Happy Monday friends! I hope everyone had a fantastic weekend. H and I had a very productive (and expensive) weekend

Best part? We purchased a massive entertainment center off craigslist. It was an excellent deal and it has bookshelves on both sides so I get to decorate with pretty books! Now I think I am justified in purchasing some of those pretty bound classics from Barnes & Nobles :-D.

  • I LOVE this movie!! I want to watch it...NOW!

Yeah for a new entertainment centre (another Canadian word there people)- that's fun! I wish we could have nice things.

Our weekend was good. Dh and my dad were supposed to fix
  • Lame! Pushed enter too soon!!

Dh and my dad were supposed to fix our roof Saturday but it rained so they fixed our bathroom which is good. They spent the day yesterday fixing the roof. Today my dad is finishing it.

I'm playing with the children who are emptying every toy! Awesome!! I love it when they do that. I'm working on teaching them to clean and it happens some days.
  • "You sit on a throne of lies!"

Morning! I am tried but girls weekend was a sucess and a lot of fun! It was nice to see my friends from HS. I started reading the new Nicholas Sparks book on the plane and I can say I am in love. I don't see this book making it through the weekend, haha!

    Aggie: Wohoo fancy books!

Echo: Yea fixed roof and bathroom!

  • "You smell like beef&cheese!"

Morning all. We're finally back home. I've never been so glad to come back here as I was last night. I couldn't not take anymore. Like it wasn't bad enough I had to deal with losing my dad, I had to deal with his asshole family members who just wanted to take anything&everything they could get their hands on at his house. It was pathetic and disgusting and I flipped shit. I'm just glad we're back here and I can get on with my life. That sounds awful, I know, but seriously it's how I feel. I want nothing more to do with that "family".

Aggie - Obviously we need pictures of your awesome entertainment center once you get it all prettied! And yes, buy all the fancy books!!
Echo - Glad you got your roof and bathroom fixed!  Teaching kids to pick up after themselves is a hard thing to do, so good luck!
Degrea - Glad you had a fun weekend! Which book are you reading?

  • JLQ: The Longest Ride. It came out Tuesday. I have a bit of a Nicholas Sparks obession. His books are the reason I read for fun. I picked up Rescue Me in college on my grandma suggest and I couldn't put it down. That year for Christmas I requested the rest of his books and just read! It was amazing. With my disability and my eyes being so bad as a child reading was never fun. I hated reading until I read him. After that I started reading other books that friends reccommend or just wonder into B&N and buy a book. Now I read 10-25 books a year. Who would have thought?

  •  I used to read all of Nicholas Sparks' books, but then I quit because I felt like they were all the same story. Maybe I'll have to try some of his newer ones.
And I think it's great that his books got you reading!
